  • Course Contents:
    This course covers word embeddings, a technique for representing words and their meanings as numerical vectors. You will learn how to process text data, and how to train and analyse word and document embeddings using Python. The course includes a small research project, which will be presented in one of two conference-style poster sessions (5 Feb/12 Feb). The semester starts with a three-week Python crash course for beginners.
  • Preconditions:
    Prior programming experience is advantageous, but not required. Please bring your laptop to every session.
  • Further Grading Information:
    Further information about the organisation of the course, the research project and the assessment criteria will be announced in the first session.
